Connas was a mate of ours, good mate, one of the best.

We are taking part in a special night for him at the Cluny in Newcastle on Saturday November the 7th. The night is being promoted by Adam Collerton of Jumpin Hot Club fame. Howard and Cav, one time Holy Joy members, will be supporting with their crack outfit, called... The Outfit. There will be DJ activity courtesy of Raymond and Chess. Other friends too are bringing sounds so the night will more than certainly continue in some form or other. It promises to be a special night and it goes without saying we would love you to be there too.

It is ten pounds on the door and tickets can be had from the www.jumpinhot.com/club site

Radio Joy happens every Sunday at 8pm.

Poets, writers, soundscapists and maverick musicians are all starry dust to our gristly mill. It is more often than not a two hour blast of sound from the lonely shack. A play and then some song. It can be found here on this site at www.bandofholyjoy.co.uk/radio and then the archive and many other archive shows can be had at www.radiojoy.co.uk

This is a live DVD of a concert performed in Brooklyn in June 2008

It is produced by the legendary Mike and Mike productions. They will be in Europe this autumn on another mad just and total righteous crusade. You may well catch them in Germany as they further the cause of avant-popumentarism pursuing the band Morton Valence from station to station. They have a great style. You can catch a fine early example of it here. With a great band performance to boot.

Details of how to buy can be found at our shop. Click on the cover art image to get there.
